E-INVOICING

LHDN-compliant, submitted automatically.

Invoices are built into the LHDN format and submitted from the same screen you raised them on. Validation runs first, so problems surface while you can still fix them.

END TO END

Validated before submission, not rejected after.

The e-invoicing path, end to end — generated, validated, submitted, tracked.

The usual way

  • Invoice details retyped into a separate portal
  • A missing buyer TIN or phone number found only when LHDN rejects the document
  • Status looked up somewhere other than the invoice
  • A late fix can miss LHDN's 72-hour window from the issue date

In Fortura

  • ✓UBL 2.1 — LHDN document format generated from your invoice
  • ✓Checked against the rules before submission
  • ✓Sent without leaving the invoice screen — no separate portal to visit
  • ✓Tracked against each invoice, start to finish
  • ✓Buyer details carried from the ledger, not retyped
  • ✓Submission kept with the document for 7 years

VALIDATE

Catch it before they reject it

Submissions are checked against the rules before they go, so a missing field is something you fix in a minute rather than something you discover after the window has closed.

  • ✓Validated before submission
  • ✓Missing fields surfaced clearly
  • ✓Fix and resubmit in place
  • ✓No silent failures

GENERATE

The format, built from your invoice

The document is assembled from the invoice you already raised — buyer details, line items, tax codes and totals carried across rather than re-entered into somebody else's form.

  • ✓UBL 2.1 document generation
  • ✓Buyer details from the ledger
  • ✓Line items and tax codes carried
  • ✓No duplicate data entry

TRACK

Know where every invoice stands

Submission status sits against the invoice itself, so the question of what has gone, what cleared and what needs attention is answered on the same screen.

  • ✓Status against each invoice
  • ✓Submitted, cleared or rejected
  • ✓Visible from the invoice list
  • ✓Retained with the document

QUESTIONS

What people ask about e-invoicing

What if my buyer has no TIN?

It depends on who they are. An individual identified by IC or passport files on LHDN's general public TIN, and you see a warning, not a block. A business buyer must have its own TIN, so an invoice to a business without one is blocked until the TIN is added. A buyer with neither a TIN nor an ID number is blocked too, because nothing would identify them.

What does my firm need before switching e-invoicing on?

Your TIN, registration number, MSIC code, a complete address, a telephone number and a state LHDN recognises. The switch stays off until all of them are there, and it names what is still missing.

What happens if an invoice misses the 72-hour window?

LHDN rejects an e-invoice submitted more than 72 hours after its issue date, so it is blocked before it goes and moved to its own Expired tab. From there you correct the issue date or handle it outside MyInvois. Pending keeps only what can still be filed.

Which documents are filed?

Sales invoices and debit notes. Payment vouchers, official receipts and purchase documents, including credit notes you receive from suppliers, are not.

Can a blocked e-invoice hold up my accounts?

No. Approving an invoice posts its journal entry first; filing with LHDN comes after and never undoes the approval. A blocked invoice stays in Pending with its reasons, each one linked to the field that fixes it.
