Run payroll and the statutory contributions are worked out from current rate tables, split between employer and employee, and posted to the ledger like every other transaction.

CONTRIBUTIONS
Calculated, not looked up
EPF, SOCSO and EIS are computed against the current rate tables as the run happens, so nobody is checking a schedule by hand or carrying last year's rates forward by accident.
- ✓EPF, SOCSO and EIS
- ✓Current rate tables
- ✓Employer and employee separated
- ✓Recalculated when pay changes
THE MONTHLY CYCLE
What each payroll run produces — calculated, issued and posted.
- 01
Run Payroll
Pick the month, the year and your payroll formula. Every payslip is worked out as a draft, with EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB on each one.
- 02
Check the payslips
Each employee gets a payslip showing earnings, deductions and the statutory split, so the figure they receive can be reconciled against the figure you file.
- 03
Submit for Posting
The checked figures go for approval. Nothing reaches the books yet, and the run can be pulled back to draft until it is approved.
- 04
Review & Post JV
Your accountant, or you as owner, reviews the debit and credit lines and posts them. The bank file to pay everyone is then ready.
POSTING
Payroll lands in the books
The resulting liabilities post to the ledger through the same journal rules as everything else, so payroll is part of the accounts rather than a spreadsheet bolted alongside them.
- ✓Liabilities posted automatically
- ✓Same journal rules as the rest
- ✓Visible in the trial balance
- ✓Traceable back to the run
QUESTIONS
Before you run your first payroll
Which contributions does Fortura work out?
EPF, SOCSO and EIS, each split between employee and employer, plus PCB income tax for every employee. HRDF and zakat can be switched on in the payroll formula.
What does each employee receive?
A payslip per employee, per period, with earnings and deductions itemised and the statutory portions shown. It downloads as a PDF in your firm's payslip template, and employees can open their own payslips in the employee portal.
Can I change a run after it is calculated?
Yes. While it is a draft, add an adjustment or recalculate it after changing someone's details. A submitted run can be recalled to draft until it is approved, and the approver can send it back with a reason.
Who posts the journal?
Whoever holds the journal-posting permission: the firm's accountant, the owner, or a role the owner has given it to. The full journal is shown before anything posts.
How are staff paid?
Once the run is approved, download a bank file in TXT or CSV for your bank (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB and other Malaysian banks) and upload it to pay everyone at once.
What about the monthly statutory submissions?
Statutory Reports exports the EPF file for KWSP, SOCSO and EIS for PERKESO, CP39 for PCB and the HRDF levy each month, and the EA Form each year, all computed from your payroll runs.
